Craniosacral Therapy

Voice Hands Heart - Service - Body - Craniosacral therapyCraniosacral Therapy is a soothing light touch modality, excellent for helping calm anxiety and stress.  Developed by Dr. John E. Upledger, DO, Craniosacral Therapy is an integrative energy therapy that focuses on balancing the nervous system and increasing the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spine, skull, and peripheral nervous system. This supports both the conductivity and relay of impulses through the nervous system and the overall health and function of the other body systems.

Craniosacral Therapy involves gentle and relaxing manipulation of the spine, neck, and suture lines in the face and head.

Clients participating in this Therapy sessions describe the experience as calming and deeply nurturing. As energetic movement is facilitated throughout the body, clients often have an opportunity to process areas of their emotional experiences that have contributed to holding patterns in the body. Some individuals choose to process their experience out loud whereas other clients simply journal about their personal discoveries after the session.

Due to it’s gentle nature, Craniosacral techniques are often beneficial when integrated with other massage therapy modalities. Cerebrospinal therapy can also be offered as a stand alone modality.
